Design Festa (May 2011) Day 1 in Photos

Submitted by on May 23, 2011 – 12:32 pmNo Comment

Recently, the Japonista team roamed around at the Tokyo Big Sight to witness different creative executions (of different forms!) by Japanese artists.

Design Festa is a biannual international art event, and everyone can exhibit as long as its original.

8,500 artists exhibit, buy and sell their works in a variety of mediums turning this two day event into artistic chaos!

Artworks filled with creative spirit, converge within a vast spider’s web of innovative energy, theatrical art, culinary cuisine, and spur of the moment impromptu performances featuring cutting edge fashions, catwalk shows and so much more. Challenge yourself by walking through the Design Festa art world. (quoted from the official Design Festa website)

Design Festa was definitely a huge success..  as it always has been. People were everywhere. It’s amazing how many support art and other modern interpretations here. For Japonista visitors / Japanese foreigner, a Design Festa visit is definitely a must!
