Close-up on Japonista Character Ninja Naritomo
Many of you may have wondered who is that guy, doing the lousy ninja moves in one of our videos or who is that stunning ninja throwing some thrilling flying kicks and jumps in our earlier fashion shoots. Yes, that is Naritomo.
Naritomo joined the Japonista Team last year as the pioneering member helping us establish contacts and collaborations with many artists and events locally. He was a senior in university back then in Saitama and during his mid-university student life, he dared and ventured to America and studied English as an exchange student, grasping the ropes of the English language. In such a short span of 6 months, he was able to absorb the language and the accent in such an unbelievable rate for similar Japanese students doing the same thing. His love for dancing, err…breakdancing proved to be helpful in his making friends during his stay. After that he embarked on a long and adventurous backpacking trip visiting countries in South America, Europe and Asia before finally coming back to Japan.
His moves and agility in terms of imitating the moves of the ninja made him the perfect guy to fit the role of showcasing the coolness power of the Japonista Sole Jika Tabi when worn. He was also funny during the shoots and very creative in his repertoire of moves in such a away one would think that he is a veteran ninja with breakdancing skills.
As he said. You have to be a ninja to be cool. Well, not necessarily now because you are already a Japonista and that is simply cool.
